PPL (A) - Private pilot

PPL (A) - Private pilot

This qualification entitles the license holder to fly just for fun and complete other flight training courses to increase his qualifications, which may lead him to the cockpit of an airliner someday.

Initial requirements

  • Minimum age to start training is 16 years of age
  • The applicant can take his first solo flight after reaching 17 years of age
  • Applicants under 18 years old need to have written parental consent
  • Medical fitness certificate at least class II, which must be presented before the first solo flight
  • Radiotelephone certificate for air traffic control (restricted or general), which must be presented before the first solo flight

Theoretical part

  • Human performance and limitations
  • Air Law and ATC procedures
  • Aircraft general knowledge
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Radio navigation
  • Operating procedures
  • Flight principles
  • Communications
  • Flight performance and planning

Practical part

  • 45 flight hours

 Completion of training

  • Successfully passing the theory test to the extent required by law
  • Passing the training test with an examiner
Night flying

Night flying

Night rating license holders are permitted to fly under VFR (visual flight rules) conditions even after sunset (at night).

Initial requirements

  • PPL (A)
  • Valid SEP / MEP qualification
  • Valid medical fitness class I or II (no restriction on night flights)

Training syllabus

Theoretical part

  • Familiarization with night flying
  • Ground preparation
  • Debriefing

Practical part

  • 5 hours flight time with an instructor

Training costs

Training can be paid for either up front or in installments during training in cash or by bank transfer to the company’s account.

Retraining on other types of aircraft

Retraining on other types of aircraft

We allow holders of valid PPL (A) qualifications to retrain on other types of aircraft:

  • Cessna 421 C
  • Cessna P-210 N
  • Cessna T-206
  • Cessna 172

Initial requirements

  • PPL (A) certificate
  • Valid SEP / MEP qualification
  • Valid medical fitness class I or II

Training syllabus

Theoretical part

  • Familiarization with the material part
  • Familiarization with air flight manual
  • Debriefing
  • Retraining flight with an instructor

Practical part

  • Retraining flight with an instructor
Advanced training

Advanced training

We allow holders of valid PPL (A) qualifications to hone their pilot skills on a selected type of aircraft in the Czech Republic and abroad under both normal and less standard situations.

As an example: improving navigating experience or training for the loss of orientation or in the event of quickly deteriorating weather, etc.

Initial requirements

  • PPL (A) certificate
  • Valid SEP / MEP qualifications
  • Valid medical fitness class I or II

Training conditions

  • Valid contract to lease the aircraft from the operator
  • Valid insurance policy (liability insurance for damage caused to an aircraft not owned by the insured, rather it was loaned to the insured or was being used by him for other legal reasons)
  • Requalification on a selected type of aircraft (in case of interest, the retraining can be done at our company)
